With the largest composting footprint in North Texas, The Organic Recycler has established itself as a prominent partner for foodservice businesses, collecting the waste and recycling it into mulch, compost, and blended soils. By collaborating with residential collection companies, it processes and composts food waste for cattle feed and other applications, ensuring every possible avenue for food recycling is explored.

"Most customers want to recycle food waste but do not know where to start. Our fleet infrastructure and equipment ensure that we manage their organic waste and help them realize their sustainability goals," says Tim Sansone, CCOM, managing partner at The Organic Recycler.

The company also performs beverage recycling, where it acquires liquids from various producers and processes them at its 100-acre facility. Remnants from these beverages are added to the compost row for enhanced microbial activity, creating a full-circle recycling system that turns waste into high-quality compost.

These services help manufacturers solve a real-world problem they face—diverting food scraps within the existing waste stream.

The Organic Recycler makes food waste recycling simpler by providing roll-off dumpsters to dispose the trash.

Its 53- foot dry van trailers collect palletized loads from foodservice clients and deliver them to the destruction site. After the waste is managed, an affidavit of destruction is sent to customers, bringing them peace of mind that the job has been done correctly. It also invests in balers and conveyors to make waste stream management more accessible.

While the majority of companies try to align customers to their solutions, The Organic Recycler does the exact opposite, customizing the systems according to their needs. The company consistently brings innovation to the table, whether finding the right size of tote for a specific customer or developing an internal system that perfectly suits a facility's operations. For instance, it recently worked with a client who disposed their food waste in landfills to save the extra investments required for processing leftovers. The Organic Recycler devised a solution that involved repackaging the waste into totes picked up by a truck, but the result did not turn out to be cost effective for the customer. Driven to truly meet the client's requirements, the company expanded its recycling capabilities to include cardboard, plastic, and other materials. This enabled the client to combine all its waste into one convenient pickup without incurring additional costs.

These outcomes are made possible by its comprehensive methodology. A dedicated sales manager for each client visits and assesses the waste at the site. The manager serves as a single point of contact, overseeing every aspect of their recycling journey, from scheduling pickups to ensuring that products are handled correctly. This helps foster long-term relationships with each client.

Business partners Jud Smith and Tim Sansone lead a team of nearly 200 employees, guaranteeing operations that meet the highest standards. With an expansive fleet of 45 18-wheelers servicing the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area, the company helps clients manage waste streams efficiently.

Be it Florida, California or New Jersey, The Organic Recycler has solidified its position as a reliable partner for companies nationwide. With a reputation for both superior quality products and excellent service, it pushes the envelope to create a sustainable future for generations to come.
