Customer satisfaction has become an important concern today as the customers want to meet their need with a single click on their phones. As a consequence, from healthcare to food, every part of customer operations is now available at their doorstep. A large section of people believes in ordering food online because it provides them with a plethora of choices. According to Statista, the estimation of online food delivery market is $1845 million in 2019 and by 2023, it will be $3093 million.
Uber Eats, an online food ordering and delivery platform by Uber, has gained huge currency in this field. Uber Eats has now planned to grow in Canada beyond restaurant delivery. In Canada, the company started its service from Toronto with a workforce of only ten employees in 2015, but finally, Uber became a giant, and the headquarter got shifted to Scotiabank Plaza.
The Canadian market is really competitive for Uber Eats due to the presence of far-flung suburban markets, and rivals like Foodora and SkipTheDishes, and to deal with these obstacles Uber Eats has thought beyond restaurants.
Previously, Uber Eats provided the customers of Greater Vancouver with the opportunity to order their favorite drink from some local liquor shop leveraging the app and its site. This innovative approach enabled the company to combat the obstacles existing in the market. Now, it has decided to help people to purchase groceries. This an innovative decision for the company to expand its business further, escaping typical competition, and is another step toward its goal of delivering every food item.
Uber is aimed at revolutionizing the transport system by allowing people to have a smart, connected, and secure transport system. Uber Advanced Technologies Group (ATG) leverages deep learning with an aim to solve different problems related to the autonomous driving space. Except for transport and Eats, Uber Health is an innovative platform that revolutionizes the healthcare sector by reducing the chance of missing appointments. Uber is now focused on developing Uber Air, and from 2023, it will allow the customers in Dallas and Los Angeles to get a flight on-demand through their mobiles.
