FreshBytes has recently announced its partnership with DoorDash Drive to empower restaurants during COVID and in future.
FREMONT, CA: FreshBytes is one of the rapidly growing ordering platforms in the US. The company has recently announced its technology partnership with DoorDash Drive. It is the largest last-mile logistics platform, which operates in more than 4000 cities in the United States and Canada to offer nationwide flat-rate delivery to its consumers.
The collaboration has come at a time when restaurant owners are striving to survive the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and searching for ways to boost off-premise sales. The partnership will offer immediate relief to restaurants burdened with the hefty commissions (of up to 35%) charged by the third-party delivery apps.
With the help of this initiative, restaurants can make deliveries at a fixed flat rate. They will also get more control over their digital orders, which will allow their customers to order directly from the website or branded mobile ordering app empowered by FreshBytes.
How will it work? The restaurants will not require a delivery crew. Furthermore, they do not have to worry while managing their drivers or stress about no-show drivers. FreshBytes system will connect with DoorDash Drive and request for on-demand delivery for delivery orders.
It will also become possible for the restaurants to track the progress through the FreshBytes order dashboard as the dasher gets assigned. The food will be picked up from the restaurant and delivered to the customer. The system will be streamlined because the FreshBytes system will continuously communicate with the DoorDash Drive system so that the restaurant owners can know where the food is and at what time it is delivered to the customer.
According to a press release, Neeraj Bajaj, the Founder, and CEO of FreshBytes, said that the company is extremely excited about the strategic partnership with DoorDash. The collaboration will benefit the restaurant clients as it will provide them with the opportunity to fulfill their last-mile logistics requirements with more intelligent routings. The technology combined with an unparalleled fleet of dashers offered by the DoorDash Drive will also allow the merchants to enhance off-premise operations that will further improve their relationship with the consumers.
